NEW LEADS

Eagle Sky Patrol. Iā€™ve heard of this company before and I just got word about them from a current employee. They are now hiring at 300TT. Thatā€™s lower than American Patrol. Theyā€™ve started implementing training contracts though. Itā€™s a one year agreement which I can argue is slightly better than 15 months. Typical time-building gig if I dare say so. Pay is $0.22 per mile which equates to approximately $3800 a month for about 10-12 hours work day. Annuals and 50-hour oil changes only, no 100-hour check, things allegedly tend to break often. But as expected, a ton of hours, and isnā€™t that the entire point? Thereā€™s currently a need for guys in OK and TX, if youā€™re from around there maybe check it out. šŸ§

Well, maybe you want something else? I had the opportunity to have a chat on LinkedIn with Fly The Whaleā€™s Director of Operations. They are hiring SICā€™s on the Cessna Caravan with a wet commercial. Youā€™ll need your Single-engine land and sea, as well as your Instrument Rating and a love for people and seaplanes. They will likely be hiring in the late winter for a May 2024 start date for SICs looking to fly over the summer as seasonal employees. If thatā€™s something youā€™d be interested in, go get your CSES! šŸ˜‰

I myself would go for both. Patrol would need good old stick-and-rudder skills flying at 300ā€™ while the other is a step into the service side of our profession, flying passengers, interacting with crew.

RAISED MINIMUMS ON THE JOB LIST

Southern Airways is going from 250TT to 500TT. Apparently, itā€™s really hard to get in at 250TT unless you have internal referrals. Thatā€™s where networking is key. Want a piece of advice? Get on LinkedIn or Facebook and find someone who works there and connect with them. Be yourself (unless youā€™re a weirdo) and if they like you, ask them if they can put in a good word for you. If you need help, feel free to reach out to me on either platform.

Freight Runners is going from 250TT to 750TT. Iā€™m told competitive applicants have over 1000 hours so this one is probably a goner, Iā€™m sorry people. What happened is, they got rid of their BE99s and BE1900s, which were the 250TT aircrafts. With only one remaining, they only need and have one low-time SIC.

LOWERED MINIMUMS ON THE JOB LIST

Northwoods Air is going from 350TT to above 300TT. Okay, itā€™s not like itā€™s survey hiring season anymore. However thatā€™s good to know for when that time comes, around September. They also do flight instruction so you could start by getting your foot in the door that way. Just apply in fall, volume negates luck. (If you donā€™t know what that means, you gotta go read our blogpost about launching your careerā€¦)

Sol Aerial Survey is going from 500TT to 450TT 80ME. I know thatā€™s a decent amount of hours, especially on the ME-side of things but hear me out here. If you have over 80ME but less than 450TT, apply. According to their Assistant Chief Pilot, theyā€™ll lower the requirements for anyone with significant multi-time. So hey, thatā€™s any of you guys, volume negates luck so send that application in. A little scoopā€¦ they too will be hiring this winter .

So it seems December might be it huh. Let us know how it goes.

WHAT ABOUT A LITTLE NETWORKING NUDGE FROM MEā€¦

Most of the recent subs come from the "Low Time Pilot Jobs and Advice" facebook group. You can check the comments on this post I made to find and reach out to new connections for additional information.

I try to tag whoever has given me updates on the post itself, so it's easy for you to find them.

A very important tip here though: be cool about it. Don't just bash them with stupid questions, do your research and then ask clarifications if you need any.

As you can see, Iā€™ll only email you job updates because that was the deal. I refuse to spam you with irrelevant stuff. Extra content, tips and tricks will be on the website (also free) for when youā€™ll need it. I hope this has been valuable to you guys! Donā€™t forget you can share your findings with our community.

Just shoot me an email, or dm me on LinkedIn or Facebook.
