EMPLOYER REMAINING ANONYMOUS

One of the owner of an aerial patrol company contacted me, said they are looking for a pilot to start in a few weeks. Looking for a local to San Antonio but if you’re willing to relocate, that works as well.

Why don’t you just share the email address, like usual? — it’s not that simple.

Wanna know what their complaint was? Their inbox always gets flooded by unqualified pilots’ application whenever they post a job to Facebook. So they don’t do that anymore.

All and all, that’s unfortunate, but inevitable on social media.

Now this, this is a community. I expect you to respect an employer’s minimum requirements. Don’t get me wrong, applying when under-qualified is encouraged, but when the owner explicitly says to NOT do so, then don’t.

So this is what we’ll do. If you’re interested, reply to this email with your total time and if you meet their minimums, I’ll personally send you the details. You can reach out to me on Facebook or LinkedIn too, whatever works best.

This will also allow me to weed out inactive users. We’re currently more than I expected. That’s good, the more people, the more leads will come, just like this one. Cleaning up the list once in a while remains important.

So, you replying with your total time will help me know my audience. showing you’re engaged. I honestly have few other ways to know if what I post is relevant to you. I just want to be useful, that’s all. Your replies are my best feedback.

If you think I’m just being sleazy, here’s a screenshot of the convo.

I hope you understand this is beneficial to everyone. We start by gaining trust from companies, then we’ll get inside info such as this. 👆

Let’s NOT tarnish OUR reputation. Makes things a little more complicated, but we do what we must, don’t we?

WE’LL RESEARCH MORE DZ…

Jump pilot jobs are among the most low time friendly. Yet, we barely have any in our list. I’m working on that. We added 2 companies and we’ll keep adding more. Give me a hand, send me who you got on your radar.

Skydive Saratoga is hiring for the 2024 season, operating from May to October.

Quoted directly from facebook:

“Do you thrive in a fast-pace environment and have excellent customer service skills? Our dropzone is open on the weekends only but with the right staff, can open up the current availability. That's right! Skydive hard on the weekends and have up to 5 days each week to work towards a degree, relax and recover, or enjoy this high volume tourist area full of beautiful lakes and the breathtaking Adirondack mountains.

We are currently looking for C182 pilots with at least 500 hours.

Competitive pay, free housing and free vehicle use available at a first come first serve basis, free fun jumps for staff members available on any single load that is sent up, and video recording equipment is provided free of charge and all editing is done in house.

We operate 2 Cessna 182s. It would be our privilege to add members to our team who are positive, team oriented, and are enthusiastic. We have great people, great facilities, and great customers!

Our focal points are prioritizing safety and customer service/satisfaction. Please send your CV and any questions to [email protected]”

You can find the original facebook post here.

That’s it for now. Don’t forget to reply with your total time if you’re interested in the opportunity in San Antonio. They said hiring within the next few weeks, so don’t take too long.

I hope you enjoyed.

Until next time,

Ivan from The Road to 1500. 🛬
